在同意李牧師被按立及祝聖為主教的過程中，美國聖公會的常務委員會及行使管轄權的主教們證明，他們知悉「不存在任何障礙」使李牧師不應被按立為主教，且其選舉程序符合教規。此同意程序詳載於教會法典第三條第十一款第三項 (Canon III.11.3.)

The standing committees and bishops exercising jurisdiction have given the required majority of consents to the Episcopal Diocese of Taiwan for its May 9 election of the Rev. Keith Chen-Cheng Lee as bishop. His consecration and ordination service is scheduled for Nov. 7.
In giving consent to Lee’s ordination and consecration as bishop, standing committees and bishops exercising jurisdiction in The Episcopal Church attest to knowing of “no impediment on account of which” Lee ought not be ordained as bishop, and that his election was conducted in accordance with the canons. The consent process is detailed in Canon III.11.3.
